In the early mornings or evenings, the bay can be calm as a mill pond; so it is a great time to launch the boat and take the water ski's, wakeboard, or sea biscuit out for a spin.
The swell often provides a great day for surfing or kayaking down the waves at the beach. "Steely Steve" and "Keen Keith" are the bays top wave riders in their sea kayaks with "Hurricane Mickey" and "Clem" being our token surfies and wake boarders from Wellington.
There are great stretches of sand at low tide to land yacht and a stream for the younger ones to learn to paddle.
The beach offers a variety of water sports for all the family.
