The historic woolshed will be 100 years old next year. The Aramoana Station Woolshed was built by the McHardy Family and used by surrounding stations to ship wool to the Port of Napier. The Woolshed is a fantastic example of early sheep farming in New Zealand and is in the process of being painted, re-roofed, and renovated for the future. It is hoped that his magnificent building of historic importance to the area will be used as an education centre for visiting groups to the Marine Reserve and Ouepoto Wetlands.
